We sell a wide range of perennial flowers, shrubs, fruit trees, gooseberries and gooseberry jam.

Beneath Blue Skies sells produce grown by two sisters in Antigonish County on their family farm.

I sell hand made needle felted items, such as baskets and wreaths, made from natural materials from my own woodland property. I also offer microgreens, sprouts, salad greens, and seasonal fruits and vegetables from the garden.

My son is sharing a table with me. He will be offering handmade Italian sodas from his own home-made fruit syrups and herbal teas, sachets and bouquets from the herbs he grows. He plans to bake individual hot fruit pies for the fall season.

We grow a diverse range of herbs, vegetables and fruit. And then we create – herbal vinegars and oils, mouthwatering jams and jellies, herbal teas to comfort and heal, sauces to get your taste buds tingling. And more. We are constantly experimenting with the varieties of plants that do best in our environment, and with ways to preserve the bounty of the growing season.

Our small farm is nestled in a peaceful valley in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Far from the madding crowd we grow naturally without artificial fertilizer, herbicides, or pesticides and we use no artificial preservatives or colouring in our products. Our aim is to walk lightly on the earth, nourish the soil, and share the goodness with you.

We also offer Certified Naturally Grown seed garlic, many of them heirloom varieties, (a garden plant whose lineage can be traced for a 100 years or more), available by mail-order anywhere in Canada.

Brook Ridge Farm was established in 1995 when we purchased this property just west of the town of Antigonish, in North Eastern Nova Scotia. The rambling 200 acre tract of land is home to our Border Leicester purebred sheep, along with the commercial crossbred ewes and select purebred rams we employ in our breeding program.

Our farm family consists of not only of the sheep but horses, donkeys, goats, cats, rabbits and a dog. Although we love to call them our own, the deer who frequent the fields are transient visitors. The resident ravens, red tailed hawk and curious fox add to the color and sound of our little hamlet!

We breed, sell and show Border Leicester purebred stock and you will see some of the quality animals we have raised within the confines of this site. We sell unique stain glass items, windows, lamps, sun catchers, clocks, mirrors and night lights. We have original designs and we also take custom orders.

Starting as blueberry producers, in 1994 we branched out to become beekeepers. Over the years our beehives have been used to pollinate not only our own blueberry fields in the Denver, Guysborough County area, but fields throughout Eastern Mainland Nova Scotia. When the pollinating season is over, the bees are free to roam and gather nectar and pollen from the wildflowers in and around their apiaries. These nectar sources make a mild and tasty honey.

Our honey is pure, unfiltered and unpasteurized, all done the old fashioned way, slowly and lovingly. We also use organic methods to control pests and diseases whenever possible. With time and experience we have greatly expanded the line of products we produce from our own honey to include jams, jellies, creamed and liquid honey, delicious honey cranberry chutney, and even honey butters.

During the fall months, gift boxes, filled with jams and jellies, are available for the gift-giving season. Anyone would be delighted to get a ” Sweet of You to try Us” product. The fall is also the time of year when beeswax cappings (that thin layer of beeswax covering the ripened honey) is carefully harvested, melted, cleaned and made into a variety of all natural beeswax candles for your enjoyment.

We sell unique decorative and creative pieces done through the art of wood burning. As well we sell painted rocks.

Debbie has a wide variety of handcrafts, unique jewelry and ornaments. Her original paintings are done in acrylics and water colors. A wide selection of painted wine glasses, rag quilts and throws in an assortment of colors and patterns. Debbie handcrafts are unique, something for everybody, and each week she arrives with something you didn’t see the week before.

We sell an assortment of cakes and cupcakes, including lemon, strawberry and blueberry. We use local berries from Venedam farms. As well we offer fresh pastas, broccoli salads, foccocia and ciabatta buns, made with variety choice meats and vegetables. Finally home-made sub buns with choice of meats and veggies.

Keith creates a huge selection of leather-crafted goods, Dreamcatchers, medicine pouches and art dolls too. Keith also works with Semi-precious stones and is happy to do custom work.

Keith’s (and his wife Tara’s) wares can be seen at the Raven Art Gallery in Tatamagouche, SunSpun in Truro, and at other fine craft stores in the Maritimes.

Welcome to Easting Bakery, where we bring things together to create beautiful real food. From our French croissants and Montreal bagels through to our sprouted spelt and rustic loaves, it’s all real ingredients and 100% organic grains all the time. In this age of facsimile food, we strive to be an oasis of good wholesome edibles.

Stop in for a loaf or for one of our marvelous sandwiches. The bakery is located in downtown Antigonish at the corner of Main and Hawthorne Streets, directly across from the post office.

We are open from 9am to 530pm, Tuesday to Friday, and from 9am to 2pm on Saturday. We also sell at the Antigonish Farmers’ Market each Saturday from May through December, 8am to 1pm.
