Placide and Margie have a table groaning under the weight of fresh baked goods, carefully canned pickles and beets, and tasty jams and jellies.

After having retired from the Market last season after over ten years of attendance, Fran is back this year for the fall season.

Carrying some of your favorite baked items, Fran will have cookies, cakes, rolls, loaves, and even some preserves!

Nancy carries a large array of hand painted, drift wood signs in a variety of local themes. Expressing different local themes, these tastefully decorated, weathered wood signs, wall plaques, and decorative items make the perfect souvenir for someone just visiting Eastern Nova Scotia or a lovely addition to a local kitchen or garden.

An accomplished basket weaver, Nancy also repairs woven chair backings and seats, makes baskets in a variety of styles and sizes, and somehow manages to make it all look easy.

If you stop by early enough at the Market (before they’re all gone) you can also find a variety of cakes and other baked goods. All of which taste great with a dollop of the jams and jellies you’ll find every there every week!

Michelle makes the kind of baked goods that are good for the heart as well as the tummy. With years of experience baking for a large family, Michelle’s Baked Goods give new meaning to the phrase “Just like Mom used to make!”

Linda and David are relatively new to country living and took a leap of faith three years ago when they moved permanently from Halifax to Merigomish. They are both avid gardeners and decided to start a small market garden on their two acre, riverside property. They particularly enjoy growing heirloom vegetables including asparagus, lettuce, basil, garlic and many varieties of tomatoes – all their produce is grown without chemical fertilizers or insecticides.

Linda, who used to be a caterer, is also a keen baker and offers a variety of handmade breads including Olive and Rosemary, Pepper Cheese and Multi Grain Yogurt along with other baked goods and sweets. She also offers an intersting selection of jams, marmalades and chutneys.
